Hidden below kilometres of ice and dark seas is a realm of drowned mountain ranges, restless currents, lightless basins, and some of the most extraordinary ecosystems on Earth. Some are sealed beneath floating ice shelves. Others stretch out through cold, open water into the abyss.

It is a world revealed only in fragments. Each voyage, sample and survey line retrieves another small piece of a vast and ancient puzzle, shaped over millennia at the edge of the Earth.
